Djed _ Highly sought after

Not fit to lace Jones' boots right now, probably our most exciting player since Traore.

Either we'd have shunted one of them on to the left, or he's on the bench.
Why - did you see how him and Johnson played together on the same RH side - I'm sure CW did - it would surely have worked with both Isiah and Djed in the same team and lets hope that Isiah does not get injured!

Regardless of whether he is good enough or otherwise to get in our team, Spence just doesn’t want to be at the Boro, that’s clear enough?

there would need to be some serious bridge building needed, if that would work at all.

You keep forgetting the part where he wants to be nowhere near the Boro. He’s not interested in playing for us under Wilder or otherwise. Time to move on, we have a better player anyway

We can't play our favoured formation with two right wing backs.

We don't play with wingers.

And we are a different Boro now which Spence would thrive in - different way of playing, different manager, a formation to suit him - so I would not be too sure about him not wanting to be anywhere near our club.
Irrespective of all that - he is worth 12 to 15 M in today's market.

Well he didn’t want to come back. So I’m sure about that.

I can’t help think there’s more hot air about the clubs interested and money mensioned. Wel know by the end of the month i suppose

Remember.... he was released by Fulham and we threw him a lifeline bringing him to Boro. He did well, needs to work on his defensive side of the game but he's obviously a " Southern " boy who misses the big lights off London and I reckon that's partly why he wasn't interested in coming back to Boro ( Nottingham being closer to travel to London) wherever he goes, great bit of business👍

We have to leave him @ Forest this season, because we have taken an upgraded higher loan fee which devalues Spence's value a bit. Still can agree a deal now for a move in the Summer (if we don't get promoted). He must be worth at least £10m with 12 years ahead of him.

If both Boro and Forest get into the play offs and meet each other I assume Djed is still not eligible to play unless we've sold him and the buyers loan him out to Forest.
I think most season long loans end with the regular season, they don't cover play-offs it would be a separate negotiation (if we are both in it I assume we'd tell them to get bent).

I remember Kalas* got a lot of good feeling from our fans for staying with the club through the play-offs, after his loan. Even when he couldn't play.

* I seem to recall, but I'm getting on and like a drink............

I think you're right Caesium
I am old as well but at 8.20 am all I've drunk is tea

Wilder basically said that he didn't want to come back, in an interview just a couple of weeks ago.

Wilder revealed that [...] Spence made clear he wanted to stay in the Midlands ...
Chris Wilder explains Middlesbrough's decision to let Djed Spence stay on loan at Nottingham Forest
