‘Boro Fan on Insta’

There is a supposed fan on insta who has tagged Hayden Hackney in a post on Hackney, Chuba and Carrick being up for the end of season awards in their respective categories and some idiot fan has tagged Hackney in it calling him overrated and a passenger.

Yes he’s has had a couple of below par performances of late but he’s very well deserved his nomination for his overall breakthrough season, he’s been brilliant and can’t wait to watch him grow as a player and person here at the Boro and potentially on to bigger and better things.

But honestly tagging him so he sees it is a cowards move and the club should block this Doyle of an individual. By the same token I noticed Yusuf pulled him on it asking him what he’s trying to achieve by tagging him so FairPlay to him.

Howson and Hackney have been poor for a couple of games, but I thought they both did well second half against Bristol City, especially Howson.
 
I wonder who Hackney will listen to, Champions League winning Michael Carrick, or davidw120282...

There's been a few idiots on Twitter this last week slating players unnecessarily, one lad was proper digging out Tommy Smith and anyone who replied to him disagreeing he just attacked them personally.

Boro Twitter can be good at times but I've noticed recently it can be toxic as f**k.

I saw that. Said Smith (an integral part of our best run of form in living memory) was the worst player to ever pull on a Boro shirt.

you slag, belittle and abuse Middlesbrough footballers from week to week.

depends on what way the wind is blowing and who takes your fancy.

its a bit rich coming from your board persona to be attacking someone else for doing similar.

There's a whole world of difference between slating a player on a Boro forum, and directly messaging the player with abuse.

It's baffling behaviour.

I don't think he's integral, as such. Smith is limited, in a footballing side which has a fair amount of pace elsewhere, but he doesn't even make the "worst 100 boro players" of the last decade.

He's solid enough for what we need at the minute.
 
Hackney has been excellent in most games he has played, ahead of Howson for me. He must be up for a young player award in the Championship.
 
He's been excellent for most of the season, had a slight dip in form recently but that's to be expected by a young player in his first full season as a regular. I'm only suprised Carrick hasn't taken him out of the firing line for a game or two, especially with Barlaser ready on the bench.

I'm sure Hackney's form will pick up, the stats for him someone posted the other day showed him having a pass completion percentage for the season as a shade under 89%, which is exceptional playing in the middle of the park in the 1000 m.p.h championship.
