‘Boro Fan on Insta’

And as for McNair hopefully this is his final season in a Boro shirt, a good servant but a poor player and not good enough.

It’s a forum, anyone can comment. You’ve used over the top statement in the past.
Maybe so, and maybe it’s not the way I want to get my point across but he is poor and we need better to push on next season no matter which league. That we can all agree on surely.

Absolute credit to Hackney, what a breakthrough season he's having. He's been excellent for the most part.

I hate to say anything negative about the lad, but he's definitely dropped off a little lately - a few games now he just hasnt imposed himself as he's done so brilliantly since he's got into the team.

I personally think he needs a game or 2 out the starting lineup and see what Barlaser is all about.

We can, goes for a few players. We need a better keeper, better right back and we probably want a better/proper defensive midfielder

Paddy rather than Dael played in most of our recent unbeaten run you know.
I know and he was ok but unfortunately he has reverted to type, when tested defensively he just doesn’t have the nouse or tenacity to prevent opportunities.

He's been excellent for most of the season, had a slight dip in form recently but that's to be expected by a young player in his first full season as a regular. I'm only suprised Carrick hasn't taken him out of the firing line for a game or two, especially with Barlaser ready on the bench.

I'm sure Hackney's form will pick up, the stats for him someone posted the other day showed him having a pass completion percentage for the season as a shade under 89%, which is exceptional playing in the middle of the park in the 1000 m.p.h championship.
One of them where taking him out (on a form basis) my do more harm than good, depends on the character of the player. Those who are strong or average are probably better suited to just playing through it.

Players need to learn to get through patches of lesser form, the best players work through them, and don't hide away from them.

We do need to get Barlaser more integrated though, and probably will as and when we've had more time with him.

There is an element that of his level, in recent game Tommy smith has been targeted. This has caused the both to look average at best. They’ve both made mistakes and then compounded each other mistakes which is why concede more

I also think Tommy smith has been out of position more, further up the field. And as the cm are playing traditional cm role it’s leaving is exposed at the back.

Reminds me of when Agnew took over. Under karanka the defence was protected, but Agnew never did a good tactically doing that.

We could benefit from a destroyer to help cover the full back role, almost like when boateng was at the boro
