🇦🇹Boro in Devon week🇦🇹

Pubs near the Ground:-
St Anne's Well Tavern( probably closest for the away end), smoking area outside
Bowling Green - Friendly little pub near the ground on Blackboy Rd( I know) less than 200 meters, beer garden
The Duke of York - on the main Drag ( Sidwell Street)near the ground probably the 2nd closest, always full of away fans as well as home with police vans parked outside, if it kicks off this will be the location, I avoid like the plague when even football isn't on.
Monkey Suite (Sidwell Street) A bar near the ground, probably won't open to 5, nice comfy sofas.
Blackhorse or the Stand Off on Longbrook Street , Blackhorse is a busy sports pub, beer patio, lots of TV screens, good atmosphere, I will be here before St Anne's Tavern. Stand off is a sports Bar , comfy sofas, doing deals on drin for after work, very close to each other.
The old fire house used to be my favourite bar in Exeter, used to be class pub bit pricey but excellent range of ales and ciders big outside courtyard don't wear colours Around the corner from Longbrook Street.. since Lockdown change in door policy now means expect reenactment of Nazi Protocols if you speak too loud or look like you enjoying yourself.
Clifton Inn just outside of centre but close to ground and next to big car park good place to get on the main road out of town and back onto the Motorway.

If you like ale, sea food and old pubs, and you have the time .... The Anchor Inn at Cockwood is fantastic. The big, shared seafood platters are legendary. About 15 mins from Exeter.

Pubs near the ground pt2

Turks Head - sister pub of The Old Fire House a recent addition to the high street, brews it own ales, accommodation on the 2nd floor, good food and more relaxed than iits sister pub, 15 minutes to the ground

City Gate - big pub just of the centre, Young's pub. 20-25 mins

Hole in the Wall - Little Castle street . Next to Exeter Castle . Ok sports bar that can get really packed for big events but I'm never sure when it's open

White Hart inn - old style inn with a lot of spooky histoy

Henry's Bar at the top of Blackboy ,Rd 10 minute walk to the ground , Beer patio.

Brewdog, Turtle Bay, The Botanist, Boom Boom Bar, Terrace Bar all in the Guildhall shopping centre 15-20 minute walk to the ground, happy hour chain style.

There's a massive 'Spoons just round from St David's railway station called the Imperial. Takes about 5 minutes to walk up the drive to get to it. Biggest and poshest looking Wetherspoons I've ever been to.

As for Plimuff, there's not much around the ground really apart from the bus depot. There's a 'Spoons there called the Britannia and not much else. But behind that there is the residential area of North Prospect, or 'Swilly' as it's known.
It makes Mogadishu look like South Kensington. Don't even think about it.

Plymouth town centre doesn't have too many pubs nowadays. Avoid The Eagle... The Newmarket and Noahs Ark should be OK. The Union Rooms is a big Wetherspoons... That's OK.
Nothing on Union Street anymore so no point going there. Pubs down at Keyham and Devonport buts it's a bit far away.
Not too far from the station is Mutley...busy area but pretty much exclusive to uni students though.
The biggest and poshest looking Wetherspoons I've visited is in Ramsgate (The Royal Pavilion) and looked like it could fit in well over a thousand?
However I'm not there right now, but ironically enough working in Exeter?

West towards Tavistock over the Moor.
I assume this is the route you will be coming Shared route
From St James Park, Stadium Way, Exeter EX4 6PX to Tavistock via A30 and A386.

50 min (40 mi)
For the best route in current traffic visit https://maps.app.goo.gl/yjC5Hm8QnMSe6A8XA
If it is then the car parks near the Vue Cinema are probably your best bet, there is a couple of large ones and they are near the ground but not hopefully too near that they will be blocked in for a long time afterwards because of heavy traffic. This car park https://www.google.com/search?clien...d:CgIgAQ==&rlimm=4468575122879289951&rlmlel=1 it is fairly large near the ground but far away enough to not become clogged up with traffic, around 5 minutes walk to the ground. You could also not only take the way you are probably going to come in but leave by slightly longer but maybe quicker Honiton Road Junction.

This is from the Exeter forum in response to a question asked by a Boro fan, it has more knowledge of Exeter pubs and also the various fan zones at the ground for pre match
