I've not heard of it but it's perhaps down to how quickly you switched. It's usual, but you might want to confirm with them, that they will backdate your tracker tariff to the date of the request?
They took a few weeks to confirm my tariff change, but then backdated it to when I first requested.

We will need to wait 2 weeks to ensure we have all the smart meter details, they're connected to the network and we're receiving half hourly reads.

Then you can apply for the Tracker tariff.

Ok, wouldn't worry about it as several people have confirmed previously about getting it backdated to the date of their original request so you won't be losing out on anything

Take the time to decide what apps you want to use if any, set up iOS notifications or discord notifications if you want them and apply for an octopus mini as there is a waiting list for them

Should be able to. Even if it was installed as a smets1 it should have been remote upgraded to smets2 by now, you can use this to check:


If it hasn't they might still be able to and if they can't they'll just book you a meter swap out and give you a new IHD (which id just not used and use the apps that support the tariff as octopus is data rich so apps will give you way more insight and tables /forecasts etc vs what an ihd will tell you

Plus the mini will give you live data IMG_4052.png
 
I was told it can take up to 2 weeks for them to connect to my smart meter but it shouldn't take that long so just keep trying every couple of days.
 
Wholesale prices seem to be increasing slightly, still decent savings to be had but would be good to see them reduce a little

Just had an email from Octopus saying prices reducing from October (as expected) and also offering a 12 month fix at those prices.

Rates:

Electricity: SC 55.387p, unit charge 26.576p

Gas: SC 27.468p, unit charge 6.816p

Might be worth considering for those who donā€™t fancy the uncertainty of the tracker.
