This was published 3 weeks ago but I only became aware of it last night on a Youtube reference, so I've read it through a couple of times. Shame it's not a first hand story, and shame there is not a lot of detail from the person of concern, but its a story nonetheless

Yeah , his mate 'John' seems to be less than average in detail . I thought special forces would be chosen because of their ability to take in things and give them out at length. Surprised too that 'John' at the scene doesn't seem to mention his role at the scene , ie a cordon enforcer or a tracker. Also surprised there is no actual retrieval mentioned. Like I would have expected, we put a cargo net around it and hooked it up to a chinook and it was taken away. He seems to end the story before any of that. Not sure why scientists and tech people would be good at that , as he says we left them to it and were helicoptered away. Anyway, I found it more interesting that it was a North of England story I guess.
 
Funny how it is always a friend of mine saw/did this, not I saw/did this...
