20 championship defeats

We are on 14 now, with still Leicester, Southampton, Leeds, Ipswich amongst others to come, it's quite conceivable that we could lose 20 games this season, when was the last time that happened in the championship? I know we had 19 a few seasons back.

There you go there's our challenge, not to get beat 20 games, always something to aim for 😅.

10 loses and 10 draws at the end of the season will normally see you good for promotion.

At the start of every season, there will be someone on here telling us there's no one to be scared of in this division. And that's right: I don't think any of the individual teams are ever that scary. Maybe Leicester, but hey, we beat them.

And yet, despite not being scared of any teams, 14 have beaten us so far. It's not the opposition teams that are scary, it's the competition format itself: the grinding intensity, and the consistency needed to prevail that is scary.

Next season will be no different: no teams to be scared of, but the competition itself will remain as tough as ever.
