This forum is a true representation of good, stand up boro fans amongst lots of other things. We may disagree with one another at times but this place truly is a beacon of light and no other forum can hold a candle to it imo.

The racists inhabit one place and hopefully it’s days are numbered.

Well I know where you are talking about but they aren't all racist. There's more than one point of view and its not always to the extreme left. This place is great but tolerance of differing opinions is not one of its greatest virtues.

I’ve got bundles of evidence of racism, homophobia, threats and anti trans behaviour from multiple posters from the site in question.

It’s a cess pit.
 
I was one of the first people on the site. I left it because of some of the racism. They aren't all like that though. Just like not everybody on here isn't a raging communist.

You are right but there are more than a handful from what I saw, it’s been locked for a long time so I’m not sure what it’s like now.
 
My reason for doing this post was to thank Rob and others who work hard maintaining this place.

They do a great job in difficult circumstances.

Trying to judge the boundaries between illegal, offensive and whatever other categories people choose to add is a very difficult job. I would never want to do the work Rob and Admin do.

At least we now have tools to help users try to avoid seeing stuff that is legal but not to their taste.

There are probably quite a few people who ignore my posts. I also ignore the posts of quite a few other people.

It is by no means perfect. However it is lightyears ahead of the old board.

I never had the privilege of the old board for some reason in my head I picture it as teletext!

Teletext was pretty advanced compared to the old board. At least on teletext pages were updated regularly and (usually) all worked.

I was constantly banging the drum for updates but peope were adamant it was fine.

You had stuff like a squad page but it was 7 years old

Half the links didn't work, no proper search function, no PM function. Looked like it was built in the late 90s.

This is loads better for many reasons.
 
Pre Sky Sport News and Pre-Internet......

I was lost without Teletext but you would have be over 48, to remember that World as an adult- scary isn't it.
