Well we waited this long, I may have to wait a while longer if the barbers waiting list in longer than my fringe

Likewise, a number three allover. I've booked in for Saturday, but my barber has always been big on booking through an app instead of walking in.
Just wondering, are people here still walking up to the barbers from now on?

Good on you men who have let it grow I'm a bit gutted I didn't now just to see how it was but alas a covid cut was administered which I was pleased enough with (im not that bother anyway)

I've phoned my barbers a few times through the lockdown, mainly just asking how he's coping, how the family are but not heard anything over the past week so not sure how to play this
I always just walk up, whatever day & get my hair cut, never used an app
Dont think they would have that facility TBH

My barbers has introduced a £2.50 ppe fee, to
Give you 1 mask and use of hand gel while there.
I won’t be booking up while that’s in place, I’ve had 7-8 haircuts during lockdown as my hair grows fast, so I’m not desperate to go and that’s just a can grab given the cost of bulk masks and hand gel.

Yeah I would say 50p would be fair Enough but £2.50 is just trying to get extra cash. I’m not planning on touching anything with my hands and masks cost hardly anything, and you can’t take your own.

I go through different styles throughout the year, currently rocking the shaved look. When it's ready for a cut I'll just use the mobile one the missus and the kids use.

Good stuff. When I used to go to Guido's in town I would normally just walk up, but you could be waiting a while. That was fine when you could sit inside and read the paper etc, but could not be arsed with that having to stand outside.

TBH I am all for booking apps. They are absolutely painless to use and give you a defined time. I've spent a while sitting in barbers before when there is a queue, and its just wasted time. With the apps, you select a slot, turn up, get a haircut and go.
Its usually £12-15 depending what you want doing. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive.
I assume because then you wont be giving them £2.50, but the official angle probably along the lines of they wont know if its safe, been reused etc. Which would be my argument for using theirs
