Highs
Cardiff 2004. Nuff said.
Boro v Wigan 06/05/1987. We'd been to the edge but we were back. Best 0-0 ever!
Steaua. Unbelievable, one of those moments when you completely lose it that can't be experienced any other way.

Regrets:
Not going to any of the away matches in Europe.

Ultimate Highs:
At Wembley v Leicester. The bit of time after Rav scored and I thought we'd see us lifting a cup for the 1st time.
UEFA Cup Semi.
The atmosphere at the Riverside at the start of the Liverpool match at the start of the 96/97 season.

Lows

relegation in 1988/89
March to May 1997
Mogga not becoming our Sir Alex

August 1986 to December 1988
Brighton game
Going to the match with my Son

Lows:
Losing to Birmingham in the FA Cup under Big Jack.
Losing to Orient in the FA Cup.
Our slow decline prior to liquidation.

Highs:
Juninho scoring at Highbury in the Carling Cup semi and then doing his little samba in front of us.
That night in Roma.
That night against Steua.

I'd suggest that everyone gets Cardiff as a given.

Lows

1. Wolverhampton defeat in the FA Cup - We knew it was an end to an era.
2. Leicester's equaliser at Wembley - It felt like a defeat.
3. Leyton Orient cup game - Should I head it or should I kick it. Why didn't Mills just touch it?

Highs

1. Watching the Boro in the FA Cup Final - Once a distant dream.
2. Winning at Cardiff - The monkey off our backs.
3. Doncaster away 3rd Division - The Boro are back.

Highs

Cardiff, strangely for a Boro supporter, I was 100% convinced it was our day. SMAC is very underrated for us i think.
Promotion against Wolves away under Lenny
Promotion v Brighton

Lows

Defeat v Leicester meaning we had to go through play-offs under Bruce
Only drawing v Leicester in cup final (felt deep down that our chance had gone)
De Matteo's goal in cup final - I hadn't even sat down and I knew the game was over.

Lows:
Losing to Birmingham in the FA Cup under Big Jack.

Our slow decline prior to liquidation.

Juninho scoring at Highbury in the Carling Cup semi and then doing his little samba in front of us.

That was some away day in Birmingham, crowds were different then.

It pains me to say but there have been a lot more sad days than good days in my life time.
Sad- Orient beating us in the cup
Sad -Wolves beating us in the cup
Sad- Birmingham beating us in the cup
For the younger generation- these were games that we honestly expected to win easily- all we had to do was turn up. huh!

Good - Beating Bolton -our finest moment
Good- Beating Luton away to gain promotion 1973.
Good-Drawing at home to Wigan to gain promotion under Brucie- after a very torrid 12 months where we nearly died.

2 high points for me. Saying goodbye to ayresome park with my dad, last game there, my mum queued up for hours for tickets, and the first game at the riverside, with my dad.

One odd story. I was living in Manchester when we played in the league cup final and I couldn't go. So I went to the pub on my own to watch the game. My in-laws were over for the weekend.

At full-time I phoned my wife and said "I'll be home in an hour or so after I watch the interviews and warm down" She said, "well dinners ready, so you've missed that!" The hung up on me.

High

29-02-2004
10-05-2006
Beating Steau 4-2

Lows

FA cup lose to Cardiff
heskeys equaliser/claridge in replay
not turning up v Norwich in playoff

Lows:

1. Fulham’s last minute winner in the 2014/15 play off season, we’d done so well to get back into the game especially with two players sent off(?), and going from looking likely to win it to watching their player dribble the ball into an open goal was gut wrenching.

2. Relegation in 2009, my first as a Boro fan and another low that you could see coming as we slept walked to it. A spineless squad that deserved to go down.

3. Cardiff defeat in the FA Cup - one of if not the worst performances I’ve ever seen from us - the writing was on the wall for Southgate and that team after that.

Highs:

1. Brighton promotion game - not much to add that others haven’t already said, other than it was my first promotion and I went with my future wife, so an amazing memory for us to both look back on.

2. Brentford Play-Off second leg - the second best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced at the Riverside behind Brighton. Was having a difficult week leading up to that having lost a family member but that really, really, lifted my spirits.

3. Walking out to Wembley at the Play-Off final against Norwich. My first trip to the stadium and the emotion and atmosphere that hit me when walking out into the stand was just surreal.

Highs:
Just seeing a boro side run out against port vale at the vic in 86.
Stamford Bridge May 88
Cardiff 04,

Lows:
Wolves 81
Shrewsbury may 86
Every day strachan was there.

I was at stamford bridge in 88.. I lived in London at the time. Remember getting locked in for about an hour and a half after the final whistle?

Yep. We got moved from the seats opposite the tunnel to behind the goal. I hated Chelsea ever since. The Fulham Rd wasn’t for the faint hearted that day.

My mate and I had to get a bus home and leave the police escort back to the tube that day. It was threatening. I took my work mates son who was a gooner and on the bus, surrounded by chelsea fans he was ranting on about how crap chelsea were.

It was pallisters last game for us before going off to man u, I recall he threw his boots into the crowd. I also remember a boro fan sat on top of the fence being goaded by chelsea fans, and he jumped onto the pitch and started scrapping with them, idiot.

Youthful memories with my Dad ...
Many visits to Ayresome Park (me in the Boy’s End), Cloughie, Lindy Delapenha, FA Cup match (Spurs won 3-1) at White Hart Lane

Roma at Rome
Sevilla at Eindhoeven
Chesterfield at OT with my Dad
Leicester League Cup Final at Wembley with my Dad / Heskey equalizer bah!
Chelsea League Cup Final at Wembley
