Off down to Wembley full of optimism and excitement

The noise from the Boro end just before kickoff was something to behold.
We were right in he centre of club wembley section and were consumed buy it.
What a day it could have been.

Atmosphere at Wembley was electric and then we just didn`t turn up

After never met such a bunch of miserable Norwich fans in my life, considering they`d just been promoted

Loads in the services in front of us on the way home too. Really didn’t get it, winning at Wembley is one of the best moments you will ever get as a fan, and they seemed to be in a rush to beat the traffic. Surely one of those occasions you just don’t want to leave

Not all the Norwich fans were miserable, one bought me a couple of beers in the hotel bar before the match. I met Delia Smith* and her family as well, nice people

All the way up the A11 going home to Norfolk was a mare. People on all the bridges waving banners. It was like a drive of shame and the next few weeks at work were unbearable.

You need the fat to be like molten lava and for it to be bubbling and smoking before whipping the tray out to add your batter super quickly. Then return it into the oven swiftly and don't open the oven door again until just before they're due to be ready.

Either that, or use Aunt Bessies, but I know what I prefer.

PS - I reckon Delia gets her butler to make her Yorkshire Puds!
