The we have ways pod has been doing this in depth this week. Loads of new news and grown up thinking. Admiralty vs RAF, technical issues, lack of training. Utterly absorbing.

Guy Gibson was 24!!!!

Way more to this genuinely wouldn’t believe it if it hadn’t happened story than the movie and the argument about his dogs name.
 
I visited Scampton a few years ago as part of a Harley chapter visit. We had a private tour, which was so enlightening. An amazing and daring feat. We also took a look at the dog’s grave/memorial.
It was quite touching to see hairy arsed bikers shedding the odd tear!
 
I do enjoy the "We have ways" podcast, but at the moment I'm about two weeks behind so I'll get to this eventually. The stuff they produce is entertaining and informative. If you are at all interested in WW2 it is well worth investigating.

Absolutely agree. I bought a J Holland book around 5 years ago thinking it was his brother T Holland, really eye opening, so when I came across the pod I was totally in.
