8000 early bird tickets sold and online issues when buying resolved.

Be interesting to see what the total will be in 10 days time.

Looking back at past years, we sold 14,700 in 2019 and 'Almost 15,000' in 2021 on early bird deadline day.

We’re pleased to report that issues regarding security errors against online transactions have now been resolved. We appreciate supporters' patience while this work has been ongoing.

Supporters should now expect to enter additional information when making online payments, such as details of their billing address or a One Time Passcode (OTP) sent to their registered mobile phone, banking app or email account.

Different banks have different methods of authorising your transaction. If you are unsure how the process works for you, please contact your bank and ensure your contact details such as mobile phone number and email address are up to date. These additional security measures have been put in place by the banking industry and payment providers to comply with new regulations designed to reduce fraudulent activity.

It is really worth people making sure about that last paragraph.

No they haven't. Bought a ticket for my mate today for Hull game as there was a massive queue at ticket office. Went thgough staraight away. Two minutes later trying to get 3 peoples season tickets and card was rejected numeous time. Then after dancing like that for a while it was saying that all three season tickets were taken for 20-21 season(er yes thats us) and it was no longer possible to do renewal online and I had to go to ticket office for a manual renewal of phone T.O. I phone my brother and he tried to renew his. Went through without issue but when he tried my 3 he was getting same responese.
About an hour later my brother tried again and payment went through ok.

So no it has not been resolved. At no time did my bank or my brothers request additional information. I think they are just hiding behind that excuse. Loads of companies send a onetime passcode for instance but never once asked for it using Boro website since banking changes came in to force.

Anyway sorted now but wasted a couple of hours this morning and I was not happy.

I was lucky with the renewal - done in 10 seconds, online.

btw - I expect the 15,000 recent highmark figure to be broken - over 95% will be renewing thats 15,700 alone.

Does it seem unusual to anyone else that less than half of our current ST holders have taken advantage of the early bird deal so far?

I would imagine that almost every current ST holder would renew. I know theres still a week or so to go to get tge early bird offer but less than half of our current ST holders have yet to renew seems incredibly low to me 🤷‍♂️

There's always a surge at the end. I havent renewed yet but will sometime this week.

Also last season, a lot of people will have rolled their season ticket over from the pandemic hit 2020/21 campaign. A lot of people will be feeling the pinch too with everything thats going on.

Quite the opposite the club said last week that initial take up was really well ahead of previous years. Despite the online problems.

Just renewed ours. Moving out of the family zone for the first time in 8 or so years. Wanted to move into South Stand. Couldn’t as virtually sold out. Top of the North stand it is. Cracking seats

Most ST holders renew in the last week so they keep the money in the bank or even have the credit card bill run over to the following month. I liken it to people booking a holiday. They rarely pay the full amount months in advance but wait for the final reminder to complete the payment.

Just gone on to renew mine but it's showing that my seats aren't available to buy. I would have assumed that existing seats were available to renew at least until the point where the early bird offer runs out. I wouldn't have thought existing season ticket holders seats could be sold.

Or have I completely got this wrong. Really hope not as going to cost an extra £300 if I can't get seats in the family stand

Worked it out! Panic over!!

There is no advantage in paying 2 or 3 weeks before the deadline date. I would expect nearly 50% in the last week before the deadline which we have not reached yet, but over 50% have renewed.

my guess is around 15700 to renew and 2000 new early birders - it feels like the AK day of 2015/6 to me. We had about 18,500 to 19,000 season ticket holders then. My season ticket was £399 then its £450 now. 12.5% price increase in 7 years is not going to hit sales.

Cost of living might though.
