I said earlier in the thread that I’d quite happily string the people that did this to these animals up. I stand by that and if it puts me on the deleted list so be it.

You think stealing animals and harming them is bad but you think hanging people is fine. Okay.

Its an absolutely cowardly crime the distress to the animals involved and the upset to owners and families including children is huge. the rules on here are as follows Its ok to strerotype about right wing groups call out brexit voters as nutjobs and rasicts make any inflammatory offensive remark if its against anyone right of centre but you cant highlight or sterotype any criminal activity which is unusually prevalent in other communities. Neither should be acceptable

What is entirely a different matter is to then make the leap to-"all travellers are scum" "the nation is united in their hatred of all travellers". Which is basically what several posters said.

If there had been message boards in the 60s, 70s, and 80s there would have been exactly the same kind of threads but about Black and Asian people. This thread is as ignorant, prejudiced and unpleasant as they would have been.

Like I've already said, the news report highlights a very nasty crime and I hope the perpetrators are brought to justice. And I have no problem with the OP highlighting it.

However many people then made comments literally saying "ALL travellers are scum".
Exactly the kind of thing racists do, ie "here's an example of a person or group of people from whatever race or creed I dont like doing a terrible thing, this proves that they are ALL like that".
And exactly the kind of thing thick as pig **** racists said commonly in the bad old days about black and asian people.

I have never been called a racist in my life, so comments made on a football forum has now deemed me to be one. Guilty because a administrator says so.
