87-88 Div 2 Teams and Players

Just saw this on FB and was reminded how many quality players and good teams there were in Div 2 when we went up, I know we've had some major achievements since but 86-87 and 87-88 were something special.

Some impressive totals in Div 1 too, 10 players on 20+ goals.
David Platt and Teddy Sheringam are the standout players in Div 2 there. A notable mention for John Hendrie, 17 from out wide for Bradford.

I personally don't think Bernie is given the credit he deserves for his exploits,without his 147 goals the whole history of our club looks very different.

Paul Stewart, Gary McAllister and, I think, Mike Newell all went on to have very good careers
