Well if that happens then I guess they’ll sit up and take notice.
I doubt they care about a load of miserable people moaning about it on a message board or on Twitter.
Good kits get a good reaction and sell well.
It not something that is hard to do either, I can’t believe how often they get it wrong!
Adidas must have charged more for the stock than Hummel and Errea.
Hummel couldn’t don’t fulfil the orders, the Errea home one looks like a maximising profits deel.
Back to basics, no special details.
It would be interesting to get hold of the base prices and how many they sell.
I would guess the adidas ones we about £20 a piece and the decent kits will have sold 40k
£1.2m - the probably break even with the left over gear. Get the feeling that the outlay is a bigger hit and advertising costs are probably heavy too. £800k profit?
Hummel costing about £15 a pop with the special detail selling about 30k
£1m - more bespoke, higher profit, massive lead times. Loses through loss of sales £500k profit (last year)
Errea about £5 a pop pretty much stock items selling around 20k
£900k profit? Lower outlay, lower advertising, lower sales but higher profits.
Still could have done a decent shirt!!
