A crucial point well earned v Bournemouth [With pics].

It was important we drew a line under the last two games.

For Wilder - It was a "brave" choice to replace Lumley with Daniels.
Sol Bamba - all 37 years of him - was "immense" and shows just how much we need a blend of experience, youth and quality across the team.
Chris Wilder said in his press conference yesterday that "competition for places is huge" - and he meant it.
We may have limitations and positions where square pegs are being hammered into round holes - but the team today did the job.

It wasnt pretty, but few teams can say they`ve taken four points off second-place Bournemouth this season.
Unfortunately, the "Big Tree" is going to be missing for the crucial games against Huddersfield, Swansea and Cardiff.
If picked he will be available for the home game v Stoke on 30th April.
Hopefully Dael will be back soon and Martin Payero will be fit to fight in the final games.
His contribution could be crucial and - now Crooks has blotted his copybook - this may be the time for Martin to show his worth?!

We have to consider that, in spite of creating opportunities in the final third - the last 270 minutes have seen us draw a blank, when it comes to getting that ball in the net! As Chris said "this is not the time for the faint-hearted" - but maybe time is running out for one or two players - who havent scored from forward positions? We cant carry passengers at whichever stage of the season it may be. It must be a scenario he has already taken on board, so those players must know the pressure is on them to perform...?!

Chris Wilder - on the performance and the players after the game:

"They’re an honest bunch and were disappointed, especially after last Saturday. You have to dip that bit deeper, jump that bit higher and battle that bit harder, which they did today to get a result. If you don’t have that spirit we’ve got, especially after the two results, you get comfortably beaten here. We were well worth something from the game.”

Huddersfield have just allowed QPR to come from behind - twice.
Although they are tucked into third place, they have played 42 games.
Defeat for Sheffield United and Forest was to our advantage.
Its going to go to the wire.
We have to beat Huddersfield!
We still have a game in hand.
Sheffield United are away to Nigel Pearsons Bristol City, Forest are home to West Brom - who won today against Blackpool.
Its in our own hands - we will all be calculating different permutations, possibles, probables and definitely maybe`s.
Now we can enjoy listening to Fulham beating Derby to claim the Championship Title.
We are still in the race.
Lets believe and have faith in Chris Wilder!
