A Handy Conspiracy Chart

But why is Greenland not called Iceland and Iceland not called Volcanoland?

Someone is hiding something!
I think I once visited Greenland as part of a flight to America in the mid 90's as a child. We stopped there to refuel or something. Might have been Newfoundland come to think of it.
Anyways didn't see much of it as it was dark but I remember it smelt a bit odd

I think conspiracy theories force some reflection on what is evidence and what isn't. A couple of points:

1. An inability to disprove a conspiracy is not evidence that the conspiracy is true. It is usually impossible to disprove a negative, so an inability to do so does not strengthen the case for the conspiracy.

2. A lack of evidence supporting a conspiracy is not evidence of a cover up.

I think the virus made in a lab and the illuminati need to be in the 'we have questions' section to be honest. Moon landing has some credible arguments also.

Flat earth should be in its own level of ridiculousness though. Thats God tier wack

I once had a disagreement with a guy who was adamant the moon landings never happened. He was almost frothing at the mouth because I dared put up arguments to his "logic".

In short, due to the differences in atmosphere , astronauts footprints and markings left by aircraft are still visible. 8000 documented photos of the various missions are available for anyone to see, flags and equipment were left on the moon and are still visible today, lots of samples from the moon were brought back and have been verified by independent scientists. Also there were hundreds, perhaps thousands of NASA employees and contractors not one of them has come forward to say, "you know we made it all up!"

Did you know your mobile phone is more powerful than all of the technology used during the moon landing mission?

Mind, I've had my doubts about Finland for some time...
I've never heard the Finland one. I love it.

I imagine the USSR invented Finland as a way of spying on and invading Sweden without them knowing. Very clever. They even made up the story about molotov cocktails I presume?

I'm pleased to say I've barely heard of anything in the top couple of tiers - well, I've heard several of those words or phrases in passing, and I can vaguely work out what most of them are supposed to be about, but I have no belief or interest in any of them.

I'm very sceptical and one of my biggest bugbears is stuff like essential oils, reiki, healing crystals and any kind of alternative medicine. I know a few people who seem otherwise quite normal and will then suddenly come out with the most absurd nonsense. Psychics/mediums is another one - they should be arrested for fraud. And don't even get me started on the sky fairy o_O

As someone who lives in Finland, I can confirm that it is actually a real, if slightly mythical place 🇫🇮
Where do you live? I love finally, although have only been twice and both times to the capital so maybe not representative. I've managed to convince the other half to have a winter trip to Rovaniami in a couple of years!

P*O*R*N - not a mention.

& the conspiracy isnt that The Beatles didnt exist, its that Macca was killed in a car crash and replaced by a shorter less talented look-a-likey

Billy Shears, although he wasn't that less talented when you consider what he wrote after he supposedly died.

There's a great Notable podcast (Stuart Maconie & Elizabeth Alker's new thing) that explores this very topic from a few weeks ago.

any kind of alternative medicine.

I think alternative medicine can work, depending on what you mean by "work".
Can it make patients feel better? Something like acupuncture certainly can. Can it solve the underlying problem? No. By the same token, elements of conventional medicine (e.g. analgesia) don't solve the underlying problem either; they just make the patient feel better.

I wonder? Maybe Rudy died sometime after we signed him and was replaced by some bloke out of Sunday league? It would explain a lot😂
