A serious case of.... soup

Roast Duck and Pak Choi with Egg Noodles

Understand I do not eat soup, but I've made this a few times and the home crew love it.
Shared this a few times so here's one I made earlier...

I was gonna say I love Hienz Tomato.

Think I'm missing out😂
Our lass makes great Soup using fresh Leek, Celery, Turnip, Onion,Potato, Lentil,Split Peas, Bacon from a gammon joint and topped with suet dumplings. Dash a pepper...good winter food:love:

Otherwise its a tin of Heinz Big Soup Steak and Onion is fantastic, best tinned soup flavour and veg Ive had that Big Soup.(y)

Stuck in Northern Thailand ( kind off) away from the tourist areas tinned soup is very very limited in choice to basically Campbells condensed Tomato or Mushroom .... I love tomato with a splash of lee and perins with 3 slices of buttered bread ( prefer a roll but not available locally) Just had a tin and yummy

We make 'allotment soup' ie chuck all the veg in together and mush it all up: parsnip, tomato, courgette etc

Sprinkle of course ground black pepper and there's your winter warmer (y)

Best way to do it IMHO. Spice it up with paprika or cayenne if you're feeling exotic. Has to be thick and rib-sticking though, not watery.

Broccoli and stilton is a favourite for me, or a good spiced carrot/squash / pumpkin soup.

If we're talking broth's, I love a ham hock with carrot, pearl barley etc like my mum used to make.

Though there is something very comforting about opening a tin of Heinz tomato soup.

Love my hot and sour soup which I make with leftover shredded chicken, lime juice, lemongrass, garlic, chilli and fish or chicken stock. Bit like a Thai Tom Yum. Add cherry tomatoes and button mushrooms.
Serve with fresh French salt & pepper bread from Tesco

Broccoli and stilton with crusty buttered olive bread 😋 or a thick mushroom soup - Both home made of course.

Just made a "vegetable draw" soup. Going soft - roasted tomatoes, carrots, peppers, onion and sweet potato with smoked paprika, fresh ginger and cayenne. Thick like custard and blisteringly spice. Need to add some yoghurt to calm it down a bit. 🥵

Mushroom and Stilton bake.
Tin of Heinz mushroom soup, add loads of extra chopped mushroom, plenty of salt and black pepper, grate loads of Stilton over the top and bake in oven for about 15mins.
Delicious with fresh warm crusty bread and butter.

Tomato, red pepper and chilli. First had it in a restaurant in Portugal years ago, recreated it many times. Fine as it sounds but to make it super special Use a variety on tomatoes, skin the big ones first (put in boiling water for a while then Cold) slow roast the small ones (90-100deg for at least 1.5 hours). Skin the peppers under the grill. Get the chilli just right to give a bit of a kick. 10/10
