Aaaarrggghh Tony Mowbray......

They're feeling confident about our game. Bless them, they're excited for their cup final.

I imagine any supporter under the age of 30 will struggle with that special Mowbray connection.
I’m under 30 but still recognise the history of our club and the role people like Mowbray played in it
Again it’s not a massive rivalry to most of us or most of them, no reason why he shouldn’t take the job

Of course there is no reason he shouldn't take the job, its up to him.
And I can still respect the role he played at Boro in the 80s without hoping he does well at Sunderland.

if he'd taken the Newsandcastle job then I'd have questioned his ethics - I really couldn't sign for them with their owners - regardless of the sham documents say, we know who owns them.

Sunderland... just a decent club we take a little more pleasure beating, as they are local'ish.

Yes, but how many on here will agree with you & then say the same about Newcastle then switch the TV on & watch the world cup

Boro sacked him.

stop your crocodile tears and be more concerned with your own team.

Stan Anderson played 400 games & was a former sunlun captain, he went on to manage Boro, as did one of the sunlun all time greats Raich Carter who also came and managed Boro.

and a Boro great, like Mogga from Saltburn, George Hardwick managed sunderland, we put a statue up to him.

its football, its what players and managers do
no mention of Joe Bolton there ...:)

I reckon I'm almost as big a fan of Tony Mowbray as I am of the Boro. As long as it's not at the expense of Boro I'd like to see him get Sunderland promoted. Flame me 😁

Also under 30 - I genuinely don't understand this. There really aren't many clubs you shouldn't go to as a boro fan. We do lack really major rivalries like some of the clubs listed above. However, he has gone to the one club you definitely shouldn't. My only real memories of Mowbray are some of the most dire times supporting the club (not all his fault of course) - but this severs any feeling I had towards him and his connection with the club. I hope he fails miserably at a truly horrible, deluded football club
