Adverts that use movie characters

Ok so this might seem really daft but I hate it when adverts selling something use characters from a movie . Just see One with Star Wars characters in it for the new electric vw camper van and there are a few others out there , including one with transformers ….. maybe I’m just a geek but I think this kind of thing dilutes the magic of movies and cinema

I did like the Heineken advert where Ray Liotta acts a bit goodfellas.

It's always been this way, some of my personal favourites are these George Lucas Japanese adverts from the 80s. The one in the cornfield almost feels like he has died and gone to his own version of heaven.

I agree the Harvey Keitel ones where he brought back Mr Wolfe really annoyed me.

I think that he had special permission from Tarantino for that. He lost all his money in some fraud and Tarantino agreed to help him because he needed to start again.
