Long weekend coming up, two couples,
doing the usual touristy bits (Van Gogh, Rijks and Anne Frank museums).

Like eating and drinking, penalty points to posters for any mention of live shows involving ping pong balls.

Great city Amsterdam, used to enjoy going there on my many trips through Schiphol. The canal boat sightseeing tours are worth a go.
If you like a good selection of beer try Beer Temple on voorburgwal near Dam Square.

There’s a great little bar called Bourbon Street that has live music every night if that’s your thing. I think it opens at 10pm but it filled up quick when I visited and the band were great.

You could always go to Dam Square and see the welding I did on a tram track at one in the morning and ruined a good jacket. Honestly, there was no drink involved. 🤪🤪🤪

Just found the picture of me welding, the Dutch guy couldn't believe I knew how to weld the track (I had welded them at Smith's Dock) and when two Bobby's came over he told them I knew what I was doing.

If your doing Anne Frank make sure you prebook the tickets they are usually released on the morning your going. You can't simply turn up and get in

Rembrandt Square (Rembrandtplein) and Leidseplein are great for bars/food.
Had many nights out in Leidseplein. In fact I know it very well. Great place to mooch about and get drunk.

Whiskey Cafe L&B is the best bar in Amsterdam though, in my opinion. And I don’t even like whiskey.

You won’t find ping pong stuff in Amsterdam, that’s mostly Thailand. Good luck though.
