Anne Robinson is to be the new host of Countdown

Her persona on Weakest Link was an act. Rather like a panto villain. Off camera she was funny and very engaging and switched to character when the cameras rolled. I know that as I was a contestant.

She will be a good choice for Countdown.

No sadly not - just missed out on the final 3. Was kicked off 4 from the end.

Funny but had a knock on the door from my elderly neighbour a few years who said she spotted me on a rerun on Challenge TV! I didn't know it was on.
 
Good to see the BBC is not showing ageism. I hope NW can keep going as a manager till her age.
 
I still miss Colin Murray on Talksport.

Really talented lad and if I'm correct he walked out once Murdoch's empire took over Talksport and as a Liverpool supporter he wanted nothing to do with a company that had The S** as part of itt's portfolio.
 
Can't wait to see her take down the contestants when they don't get the conundrum. Odd choice for me. I was actually quite enjoying Colin Murray on there I'm surprised to see myself type
