Anthony Joshua Agrees Terms to Fight Tyson Fury on December 3rd (or not)

AJ has ducked Wilder a few times. And Tyson on a number of occasions.
That'll be the wilder that accidently let slip that he turned down more money from AJ to fight Fury. It simply isn't true that AJ ducked wilder, in Wilders own words, it was the other way around.

That’s a load of rubbish mart, Joshua has ducked Fury for ages. This is Joshua’s last big title fight and payday and had no other choice but to accept.
untrue, you can't believe a word Fury says.

Joshua could have said injured, then taken a couple of warm ups, he didn't

For me Joshua hasn't been the same since he lost to Ruiz, he seems to have lost his hunger, confidence, killer instinct, eye of the tiger, spark call it any of these things. Don't get me wrong he is still a top heavyweight and would beat 99% of fighters in the division. But I think Fury will be too much for him and has a better boxing brain, can take a punch(got up from some of wilders bombs, which would of put most boxer to sleep) and has better ring craft. Me personally I think Fury will avoid slugging it out with AJ and using jab and move tactics for the first 5 or 6 rounds until AJ is gassing, then goto work on him. AJ obviously has a punchers chance like any top heavyweight but I can't see what he has which can beat Fury.

AJ looked far better in the Usyk rematch that he had in his previous defences. He's got more than a punchers chance against Fury.
I would still make Fury a huge favourite but I think AJ will definitely make it uncomfortable for him.

My prediction is a Fury win on points. Will spend the second half the fight trying to lean on AJ and tie him up in clinches. AJ looked much fitter against Usyk and didn't gas like he has previously.

Hearn must be gutted as he’s been forced into a fight he’s never wanted in a location he no longer cares about that could very well end the career of his meal ticket.
Fighting at elite level against elite boxers doesn’t end your meal ticket. At least it shouldn’t. There are still fights for aj if he loses to fury

Too much emphasis place on the O and protecting. It than just going out and fighting the best

I agree with this, but its whether the fighter can motivate themselves going forward.

Must be difficult going from fighting World Championship bouts in a sold out stadium for a £50m fight purse, to then drop down to fighting someone maybe 5th or 6th in the world to try and get yourself into a mandatory position to earn another shot, for a tenth of the money (if he's lucky).

Depends how hungry he is and whether he really believes he's still good enough.

Only now is he taking on the fight because he's been given a huge golden ticket...one that quite frankly he's not deserving of.

Fury has pinned him into a corner with this offer knowing fine well AJ can't refuse, otherwise he'll be made to look like he's running from yet another fight.

Would AJ give Tyson the same offer if the roles were reversed? Not a dogs chance.

AJ has never ducked wilder.

Wilder has ducked anyone dangerous for years and only took the fury fight as he thought Fury was done.

He ducked AJ - which he admitted
He ducked Klitschko and wouldn’t fight him for undisputed
He ducked Whyte for years.
He even ducked David Haye when he first won the belt as Haye had annihilated him in a sparring season a couple of years earlier.
He didn’t even fancy the Charles Martin fight for the IBF title before AJ took it off him.

Very true mate, but the wilder fight would be an arena fight; or could probably do well in Saudi

Motivation is the key like you sag but bad blood there so that could be motivation

I think a Wilder fight would still be of huge interest but I can't see Wilder taking it unless a belt was involved. It seems as if he's making moves to position himself as mandatory for WBC title (maybe thinking it could earn him a fight with Usyk if he becomes undisputed, or Fury could still yet vacate) AJ would possibly want it. Could be a hard fight to make

But I can't see him going back to fight Parker/Whyte/Ruiz. Then looking beyond those you are looking at potentially a Joyce/Hrgovic match up.

Wouldn't be any money in the Hrgovic fight, especially after he was so poor on the Usyk undercard.

Joyce could potentially be a good match up if he beats Parker convincingly.

For someone who jumped on the distasteful stuff in the queens thread…….

Boxing is a dangerous sport, not sure we should be talking about people funeral
yup, that's very true, if you are going to play the respect card, then he has created a very high morality bar to clear, and toppled it pretty much straight away.

Boxing is a dangerous sport, I've got respect for the ballsyness of every single one of them that steps in the ring.

Come on mart, stop creating drama when it isn’t there.

I haven’t, it’s fall under the same bracket ‘this team got raped in defence’
I’ve never heard anybody say that but I get it. For clarity I don’t want Anthony Joshua to die and a have a funeral I simply think he will be easily beaten.
