Was it directed by Sean Penn??? I may be wrong but I think Sean and Eddie are friends and work together a lot on movies.

It was directed by Sean Penn, although I only realised this last time I watched it.

Its definitely one of those films that gets under your skin.

Is Mark still running the open mic at the Gypsy Rover?

I've played there a few times with my mate but we haven't tried the one at The Halt yet.

We used to play regularly on a Wednesday night at the Ship in Guisborough.

Yeah - Mark still runs the Gypsy.

We'll have probably met as I'm in there most weeks.

Currently starting at a fairly early 7:30pm and finishing around 10pm. Mainly so Mark can get his kebab and chips afterwards I think...

Another thing I was thrilled to see Eddie Vedder involved with, was when he performed Out of Sand on Twin Peaks in the Roadhouse/Bang Bang Bar ... was thrilled to see him on that.

Apparently, as soon as David Lynch heard the demo song Eddie had for the episode he said straight away it fits, get him performing there Lyrically, it connects to the show too I find. Those who aren't fans probably have no clue what I'm on about but never mind.
