Any season ticket holders thinking of wrapping in yet

People do have short memories nowadays don't they?

Boro 1 Chelsea 0

I do understand as people become older the novelty falls off, but we all leave financial foot prints in our lives, what we spend money on survives, what we don't often dies. Some may say I have given ST money for 35 years and that is quite a commitment. At the other scale there are young Boro fans who never saw Juninho or Gareth Southgate lift a Cup or attended a UEFA Final or European match.

When I was young I was told about Mannion and Hardwick and Clough all played before I was born. Those were the days they said would never come back a team of internationals that 30,000 used to pay and see. I had to believe the older fans but paid my 6 shillings to watch Whigham, Gates, Jones, Spraggon, McMordie, Laidlaw, Downing that is Derrick, Hickton, young Mills ("who couldn't score for toffee"). You are wasting all your pocket money on that lot, why not spend it on a Chopper Bike or something useful.

Why would one cup match, which we were very lucky to win, and wouldn't be covered by owning a season ticket anyway, be the deciding factor for people?

Especially when the second leg ended in total humiliation.

Made me smile this RW - I remember a bloke falling to his knees grabbing his own hair and snarling "Mary bloody mills" after he missed a sitter

young Mills ("who couldn't score for toffee":) He used to get some stick when he first come into the side and even a for a little while after.

Turned into one of the best players I watched in a Boro Shirt, lungs like a horse and endless energy - loved him.

Sometimes you cant explain why your love is blind.

No, I remember it well. It was a cup game, not covered by your season ticket.

A Chopper bike - now they are really valuable now. Did you get one?

I don't think some people look at the wider picture. Without the base of the season ticket money there would not be the same players available to win the five league cup matches we won on the trot (in 90 minutes). As said you leave financial footprints from your spending. If folks want facilities they have to support them.

DM - No one really rated him till Big Jack came - ended up a British record high Transfer Fee - would be about £100m in todays football money. Amazing how things can change in football.

Think it will cost me over a ton not getting the early bird , but after the failure to buy the striker we desperately needed in January.
I want see where the money from Hackney Jones and Mcgree goes first.

Come off it. Port Vale, Bradford, Exeter. If we can't beat those teams then there's something wrong. The draw was very kind to us this year.
