Anybody have a quooker tap?

I've been using a service to fill empty c02 bottles for our Quooker for some time but the delivery company lost my last package.

Can anybody advise if any of the other cannisters such as sodastream etc fit the quooker? If so where I can get some empties?

Failing that does anybody know where I can get some empty quooker cannisters to get filled?

It's currently £70 for 4 directly from quooker versus £35 from refills.

Cheers

I have a Quooker tap but not the cube so no CO2 bottles.

However I need a hard water filter replacement so I went on their webshop to order one only to find they have been discontinued and I now have to have a new anti scale system fitted at a cost of £245 plus fitting

We have one, but again not the cube so have no idea about the OP's question.

@Ironops, do you live in an area with hard water ? We do, and so ended up getting these guys to fit a water softer for the entire house - such a difference when it comes to cleaning showers and stuff, as well as no scum floating in your tea, and it hopefully helps extend the life of the Quooker too.

Although it was significantly more than £245, but well worth the expense when you consider the damage limescale does to everything.

Cheers I'll take a look. Im in London so the water is pretty much limestone flavoured with a hint of sewage

Just added one to our new kitchen plans for February. Bloody expensive was my verdict.

But worth it, never again will you be stood around waiting for a kettle to boil. We had one already installed in the house when we bought it, and when we changed the kitchen made sure we bought another one, as it's one of those things that you dont think you need but once you've got one you cant imagine what you did without it.

To be fair everyone I know who's got a Boiling water tap says it's changed their life and absolutely love it. I just can't understand why Quooker are so much more expensive and we can't just get a cheaper one.
"Not cutting corners in the new kitchen, Quooker are the best" the wife reckons :censored:

There’s a few options, if you don’t store water and just use as you need you can use an inline water conditioner rather than a softener.

Softeners are fine for 99% of the time but they do use salt, and a small amount of the population are sensitive to it and can sometimes taste it in softened water.

You can also get under counter RO units just for a kitchen tap if you want pure water. Most coffee shops use them, all the costas and Starbucks do etc.

Your all mental with too much money 😉🤣

Although I guess people probably said that when the kettle arrived and they didn't have to have it on the hob or whatever.

Kettle still quick by those standards tho!
