Anyone looking forward to the James Webb Space Telescope images tomorrow ?

That image is a patch of the sky, a patch so small that if you had a grain of sand on the end of your finger, stretched out your arm and put it up to the sky, is what it would cover.

Feared the worst a month ago when it was already hit and damaged by a tiny space rock before it had even got a picture out.

Very interesting that if you look at that brightest 'star' to the centre left, move above it to the 11 o'clock position by about an inch (based on the photo displayed on a mobile phone screen) , and you see 3 beams of light forming a triangle. Just to the right of this triangle there is a dark and empty space?
That's where Boro's new strikers are.

Information takes a while to travel such distances. They probably think Pulis is still in charge and are showing they can fit in to his long ball game.

The light from the image began its journey to us close in time to the Big Bang, so more like when Pulis first established his footballing philosophy rather than when he managed us.

The light from the Galaxy top left was sent at the start of the Djed Spence transfer saga.

For scale they are galaxies you are looking at not stars.

Amazing piece of kit and truly wondrous images. Webb does have its limits though. It certainly cant look far enough back to when Newcastle last won a cup.
