I made my first order on it yesterday, got a notification this morning saying it had been despatched and gave me a tracking number. I paid with PayPal for the added protection in case it turns out to be dodgy!
I have seen others on social media use it and have had no problems.

Temu. Another Chinese shopping app like Shein / Aliexpress etc where you are playing the lottery on what kind of quality product you will actually receive.
Amazon is mostly just people buying this stuff from China and selling for a higher price on Amazon these days. Suppose it's worth cutting out the middle man.

Maybe the reason it's £1.79 is you don't get to choose when it pops up
