Billy, quick question. I've noticed over these past few months that your daily reports tend to have more deaths reported by North Tees and Hartlepool Trust than South Tees even though North Tees are 14th and South Tees 12th?
Is this because they 'bank' up death details before releasing them because of smaller admin issues or? Just curious.
Cheers BillyIt's because the total number of deaths includes the whole pandemic since March 2020.
In the 1st wave, South Tees was worse affected than North Tees, with about 110 more deaths. The reverse has been true in the 2nd wave and North Tees has almost caught up now in terms of total deaths.
Don't know a specific reason why that would be, but it is consistent with Hartlepool (in particular) and Stockton local authorities being the highest areas for cases in Tees Valley for much of the 2nd wave so far.
