Work are doing a press piece and have asked for ex forces employees' for some thoughts and military photos' etc. Which led me to ask what my great grandparents were doing during WW1. Both my Grandfathers served during WW2, which i know all about. I didn't really know anything about WW1 as parents' and grandparents never talk/talked about the great war. Turns out both my great grandparents on dad's side served during the great war in europe. With one being injured by a german bayonet and had the scars to prove it. he passed in the early 70's so i never met him. This year is probably going to have me feeling quite emotional thinking of how awful that experience in the trenches, fighting hand to hand must have been for him and his fellow War Heroes. I feel the emotions almost spill over during the silence thinking about them each year, but this year will
