Arthur Sousa Corinthians CF Brazil

The rules around work permits changed not too long ago. We used to only be able to bring players in from South America if they had a European passport. What is deemed as exceptional to allow a work permit for a footballer has been relaxed so bringing in players from South America is now easier than it was. We have links with former players over there and I presume a scouting presence so makes sense that we will see more young South Americans coming directly to the UK, including us.
It is. But our scouting of South America is dogshit. Thank god we didn't get Muniz. It's a good market and a good idea to exploit. But right now I don't think we can do so.

Who is Arthur Soze? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.
I take it the weather is crap today down where you are NC?😉

How can you possibly know this? We've only had De Pena, Payero and Muniz from South America in the last 10 years. De Pena has gone on to play for a team in the Champions League, Payero went on to win the Argentinian league and Fulham beat us to the signing of Muniz. It's not clear that any player "isn't good enough".

Theres always a risk that players will struggle to either settle or go adapt to the style of football. No matter how good they are. We have a lot of links in South America which will help us to pick up young, cheap players. Now that it's easier to get work permits, we can sign more players, making it more likely that one will settle and suit the style of football.
