Bet the Aussies are raging. They’ll be like the Chinese were the other month when Messi didn’t play for Argentina there. Except they’re getting worked up about missing out on Sean Longstaff.
 
Kuol is an aussie who was on loan at Hearts last season, they want him to step up but maybe he doesn't quite have it.

We need to reduce the number of cup matches PL teams play so they can play more of these games while protecting the players.

From now on, they should all just qualify for the final automatically. The Geordies still won't win anything.
 
This annoys me so much.

Most of the teams in the Premier league and the league itself are pushing for nonsense like removing cup replays and games over 2 legs to reduce fixture congestion and improve player well being, yet flying half way round the world a couple of days after the season finishes to play a pointless friendly is perfectly ok.

If they really want to protect players they should do what thy do in the NFL and limit the number of matches a player can play and limit the number of practice sessions, reps within those practice sessions etc.

All they are interested in is the money.
