You missed my response to your suggestion on another thread so I will give a quick rundown and an update on the subject.
I tried really hard to sell the Boro to my wife, I told her that my club seem to be really interested in signing loans, freebies ,long term projects
and unwanted and overage players at the moment and that she would make her salary within a fortnight. She seemed really interested for a
few moments but then said " but I'm 66 and I can't kick or head a ball"
I insisted that that is exactly what my club is looking for and that she would be a perfect fit and tried to assure her that neither could they.
I told her that she has something that they didn't have. You've got more aggression, determination, passion and will to win in your big toe
than any of these fannies that we have at the present time and that she would wear the red and white of her husbands team with pride
and that the Boro fans would adore her. I even suggested that the fans would be calling for her to be captain in no time and the club would
as usual, be offering you a long term contract when you have no resale value.
She finally declined after telling me that she wouldn't play for a club that didn't or wouldn't put in the same effort as her.
Being a Boro fan for nearly sixty years there was no way in the world that I could ever guarantee her that.
On a possible positive note though my sister in law has since contacted me.
She has similar attributes to my wife and suggested that what we really need is a new recruitment team and that she would be willing.
She was head of department for the federal government in Canberra for forty years and sincerely admits that she has employed or promoted
a few donkeys as well but nowhere near the amount that the Boro have and that she learned her lesson very early on in the piece unlike the Boro.
So, I just thought that I would run it by you lot to see if you are also happy to include sister in laws as well as wives before sending her details to MFC
