Probably many more than hundreds but the motives were many, not just antisemitism. The shift of Poland's borders westward, hunger, poverty, post war lawlessness, transient populations, Soviet military interference and property disputes all played a role according to Jan Gross.

Yes, told the same.
Some Swiss bloke was jailed for it, they got them back, but they are locked away, the ones there now are a replica.

I did the tour just before the covid pandemic, while there I took it all in what the guide was telling us mostly in disbelief, the next night I couldn't talk, it hit me like a wrecking ball. Its unbelievable what cruel heartless b***ds the nazi's were, it stays with you.

I was the same after my tour. I still get shivers thinking about it 20 years later

You are right, of course about them being evil, but I’ve always wondered surely they were people like us, so is the potential in all of us? I like to think not, I know I couldn’t do that, but could I, In a different life? I’d hope not, obviously, but ……

If you have to ask yourself the question, well I would have thought the answer is obvious, a big fat no. The potential for evil only exists in evil people. I hope that's right otherwise we're knackered.
