We were poor, very poor today. Defence all over the place, no effective midfield and losing possession consistently, and definitely no strike force. Can we blame this performance on our injury situation, or are those fringe players getting chances and not taking them?

To be fair strikers will have a bad day, if there's no midfield to provide.

Missed Jones massively ! The lack of pace in midfield and wide areas was truly telling.

I thought only Engel came out of that game with any credit but we’re were shocking all over the pitch. So slow, and too many anonymous players. Not sure Jones would’ve made much difference, but he’d have been better than anything on show by Rogers or Greenwood.

It was clear early in the game it wasn’t working but once again we had no plan B, or ability from Carrick and co to change things up.

We gifted them that win. They were nothing special, just a very organised team on the crest of a wave.

Some of the link up play between Crooks and Jones down the ride side is crucial to how we play.

Crooks will play Jones in behind but there was no kind of link-up play for us down the right today. We also lacked width.
