Lovely goal this evening. I think we may have a player on our hands. Was impressed with his running off the ball this evening and, I must say a few things that I saw on the weekend. There was one move against Millwall when he turned the ball around their defender and them took off. The defender wasn't catching him. He has some nice flicks and tricks (not just for show) and that goal tonight shows he can finish. Play our cards right, give him some experience and we may have a gem here. I'm inclined to try ro keep him.

Reminds me of a young Daniel Sturridge.

More confidence than he should have for his ability. Awful with his back to goal. Actually looks offended when a defender kicks him, like the defender hadn’t got the memo it’s now a non-contact sport.

Would 100% have him back next season though. He’d get a hatful.

I still think he tries to be fancy too often.

It's great when it works, like with our opener and against Derby, but there have been plenty of occasions where he's tried a backheel or a trick when a simple pass would have been far more effective.

He's growing on me though, he's only young and hasn't played much senior football.
He's bound to improve his decision making and his ability will grow too.
I don't think he'll be back next season, but if we did fail to go up, I wouldn't be against a second spell.

Of course. Sometimes there's no need. He'll learn and he'll improve, like he already has.

He could still realistically end the season on more goals than sporar . The only thing stopping coburn is being sat on the bench

Commentator said he reminds him of Sturridge, the way he flicks the ball and spins around the defender.

My only gripe with him is that he still needs to learn to simplify his game at times.

There was a moment 1st half where he battled for the ball and chased after it alongside their player. He just needed to touch it on to one of our players, but instead he tried a trick and lost the ball.

Great to see his improvement, such a big step up from the U23 team's.
He will be vital to us between now and the end of the season.
Well done lad

Needs to do the simple things first and foremost - the tricks are nice when they come off but if you try them in every scenario and they don’t come off you start to look a bit stupid.

Good goal , and great assist in the build up to the first.

Whoever has him next season will see the full array of his talents and for that reason now I hope it is us.

He was always going to need this season to toughen up and adjust to senior football. Which is why I questioned the merits of signing him.

Might not be able to afford him next season. I might be wrong but I think the reason we can have a 43k per week player and not breach FFP is because he's under 21 so doesn't count against the cap. He turns 21 over the summer.
