Bamford in for England call up

People said this last time too, he was not called up, we'll see.

But he'll be very glad that he resisted declaring for Ireland if it does pan out.

England's next match isn't till the 25th of March, Kane will probably be back fit by then.
 
Bamford was great yesterday, 100% for sure. Is he consistent enough for an England call up though? IMO he sometimes seems to have games where he's pretty anonymous.

I really like him though, and wouldn't mind if he does get the call.
 
Even get the call up to blood him into the national setup . If he doesn’t get a kick at least he’s tasted the flavour of what it’s about
 
I thought he’d switched to Ireland. It wouldn’t surprise me if he played the next game and was never seen again leaving him ineligible for Ireland after that .
 
He was excellent yesterday. Leicester couldn't live with him.

He's been one of Leeds best players ever since he signed for them.

Oh how I'm over the moon Pulis was happy to give the green light to sell him, then be content in replacing him with Hugill.
 
Good for him. After years of players leaving Boro for minor fees and dropping into the wilderness because they'd declined in ability, it's nice to see two of our recent sales now doing well, and potentially both (Traore too) playing at international level for Tier1 teams.
 
Best Boro striker for me since Viduka i was talking to a leeds fan just after they signed him and told him at the time he was premiership class with his touch and movement, he couldn't quite believe my assessment. I have no malice for him or traore its a pity we couldnt keep them both but our club was readjusting financially. Who could blame Bamford for moving, Bielsa must be a joy to play for compared to Pulis. What annoys me is the lack of effort and work rate of Assombalonga in comparison
 
It was pretty much a swap deal for Saville given the transfer timings and amounts involved even though we already had lots of similar midfielders who hogged the centre circle and we had just signed McNair that summer too who we all thought was going to play CM.

I'm not sure who got the best deal mind :unsure:
 
I'm sure he qualifies to play for Republic of Ireland? Surely they must have approached him to play for them in the last couple of years?
