ban fireworks?

It's still Nov 5th here in Bristol.. idiots still blowing up their money and causing my dog to woof like crazy.
Isn't it time to just ban them? Why can't we?
Fireworks going off here as I'm typing this. No idea why. Norton is a strange and occasionally magical place.

It's Diwali. OK to ban them in my book, to celebrate suppression of Catholic insurrection, Festival of Lights, New Year, so long as it's even handed.

At least ban the ones that make sounds. You can shut an animal away from the lights if they’re an issue but the bangs and crackles are much harder to avoid unless you have a sound proof basement bunker.

This is doing my head in now. Its busier tonight than last week.
I think its time to licence fireworks because it seems that any idiot is free to put on a display.
The place over the way from us always has them for weddings, its just so selfish.

It's funny with dogs isn't it. Ours (RIP) would happily lay there with a war film on TV or me listening to Black Sabbath albums but would hide behind the settee when there was fireworks getting let off miles away.
