Bayern Leverkusen

Hilarious end to the game.

At 2-0 down I'm not sure what benefit Neuer thought him going up for a corner was.

Seeing Frimpong stick it away on the resulting breakaway definitely not part of the plan. Very Spursy.

*Bayer. They’re not from Bavaria (Bayern). Think it has something to do with a Pharma company who owned/founded them.

Anyway yes, really refreshing to see Bayern not have things their own way. Brilliant job Alonso is doing.
Shame that our England captain looks like he’s going to have another season without a trophy. Can’t see them winning CL on current form.

In Germany everybody calls them Leverkusen not Bayer

Bayer is the drug company who funds them

If Kane wasn't at Bayern Munich, I'd be loving this.

What a job Xabi Alonso is doing.

On track for their first ever league title.

I’ve never wanted FC Hollywood to win until Kane went there. I was reading about Leverkusen yesterday. Everyone (other than Bayern fans) in Germany wants Leverkusen to win. After 11 titles in a row for Bayern that is understandable.

I went a Leverkusen game about 7-8 years ago. I found their fans were really friendly. We ended up in some fans owned bar and they were buying us drinks.

They knew of boro off the back of our European run. One guy kept trying to talk me out of going to match as, in his words, "we're f££King sh1t"

Watch morenho end up there when alonso goes to Liverpool then Harry misses out on another title 🥴
The German league probably isn’t a place for him mind so unlikely to happen .

Can’t remember where I read it now, but some journalist reckons Alonso will stay in Germany for two more years, then go to Real Madrid. Going to Liverpool immediately after Klopp will be difficult for anyone.

Remains my only German ground to date. Good ground and supporters.

A certain Kai Havertz absolutely ran the show when I went, scoring a couple in the process.

It’s not like he’s won multiple league titles before he leaves , and anyone going to real his higher expectations from the off .
