I can think of no compelling reason why Man City did not take on Real in transfer market in summer to get him. In fact should have went after him season before instead of Phillips
 
Incredible player. 20 years old and carrying Real Madrid on his own. He is seriously in the conversation on current form as one of the best players in the world. Along with Harry Kane being the best centre forward in the world England have a serious chance at the Euros.
 
The assist for the chappy who couldn't hit a cow's behind with a banjo was totally sick. I mean when did did any english player have the audacity to cross a ball with the outside of his foot with such precision and coolness for a winning goal.

Final thought...the ref was totally bizarre. Maybe it's an on-going trend.

It wouldn't have been a good look with 100+ charges hanging over City for them to go and make such a huge statement signing.

Also I think Bellingham said he wanted to go to a real top club, not a fake one like City, I am paraphrasing there.
 
I think Liverpool should have pushed the boat out for him and Rice £250m for the pair and tied them to 7-8 year contracts. All should have been in place a year ago.

I know you cant press gang players into joining (unless You’re Forlan), but there was no heavy linking.
 
Still irks me to this day why Southgate didn't play him in the Euro's final....when a lot of fans were clamouring for it....especially at the expense of Mason F**king Mount.

Liverpool were never ever in the run in for him.

A lot of rumours suggesting they were linked etc....but it was never an option. Jude was going to one of the biggest clubs in the world...not a club who's won 1 league title in 30 years and who isn't even in the CL.

He is a great player but that's just silly.

Agree with your assessment of him but I still say that he does not carry Real Madrid on his own.
 
Just this season...and it's not even December:

Almeria away - won 3-1, scored brace
Celta Vigo away - won 1-0, scored the winner
Getafe home - won 2-1, scored 94th min winner
Union Berlin - won 1-0, scored 94th min winner
Osasuna home - won 4-0, scored brace
Braga away - won 2-1, scored
Barcelona away, won 2-1, scored brace including 92nd min winner

There's many other games he's scored in. Plus many games he's effected WITHOUT scoring.

So yes, at the moment, he is the one doing the most of the 'carrying'.

Nearly every Real Madrid fan would agree.
