Bernie Slaven do you miss him on the radio?

Is Bernie Slaven, what a great player and guy and pundit.

When the radio is on the bus on the way back from the game I wish it was him and not Maddison.

I liked the way he was not a “yes man” and said how it was.

What is he up to now? Is he employee by the club?

Seems that the local radio and those who report on the boro now are vetted or hold back.

He worked well with Ali but only because Ali was so positive and handled him so well.

He would just be annoying now and feed the moaners. Of which we've already got plenty.

He always resented Juninho in particular I think? Disloyal because he left after relegation was one of his favourite drums to bang.

I must have rose tinted glasses!

When I have heard him speak at boro functions he has come across really well.

He also covered the legend lounge during the Strachan period.

He is better than Maddison.

I did like his Bernie’s About interviews for Boro TV. He came across a lot better n them. There was good interviews with Brian Clough etc.

I like him as a person, and I loved the 3 Legends at the time. But his general football knowledge was and still is abysmal.

He couldn’t even tell you who we were playing the following week, it was just as if he just wandered into the Century FM studio doing zero research and only able to talk about the last game he watched.
