Best 500 Albums - Rolling Stone Magazine

Another of my favourite albums by another of my favourite bands. Really looking forward to the Edgar Wright film about them coming out.
They've been on a mental list of mine to make an effort to listen to for ages, so this was a good push. Enjoying what I hear so far (and yeah, looking forward to that movie too!)

If you get the chance to see them live jump at it. Definitely one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Every time they play a different version of "Number 1 Song" and it's always brilliant.

It become obvious that the list was compiled by millennials as soon as I saw that Q: ARE WE NOT MEN? A: WE ARE DEVO! never even made the top 250. That was me out.

That Kanye album is critically acclaimed and is a flawless hip hop record. Don’t write it off just because of the artist.

Agreed. He gets pelters for lots of things, many don't know his mental health struggles, probably stemming from when he nearly died in a car crash. It's a fascinating album from start to finish when you really listen to the lyrics of some of the songs.

Nice and thoughtful selection there, top 50 of course its someone's choice, but a fascinating one really. And they all sound great.

anything ranked higher than the beatles, led zepp & the stones has to be as close to perfection as is possible. so, i got to the top 50 and laughed at a few of the rap and hip hop sh.ite that gets on the list. kid a over ok computer? or even the bends? thats just daft. and thats just fact, not opinion.

:)
