Best pub for a decent pint of ALE near the station in Boro?

When I attend games I drive so haven’t been in the town centre for a couple of years for a beer. Going to watch Shed Seven tonight so was wondering what the best place near the station is for a nice pint? I like Black Sheep beer to give you an idea of what pint I mean, not a pint of Fosters!!!

We need to hang around for another lad arriving on the train for a couple of hours. Anywhere good close by??

Issac Wilson , Liquer Vault , cheap and good selection , job sorted pig Iron once he turns up, then Bedford Street / Baker Street /Linthorpe road , or Turtle Bay for food .

The Zetland has good beer. Might be a little ‘restaurant-like’ on a Friday evening, though the front room should be fine.

The Zetland would be my choice around there. It has a decent pint of magnet and usually a few guest ales.

I see the doors open at 7 pm and the bar opens at 6.30 pm - Are you supposed to break in to get served?

It should be a good night - the last time I went to the Town Hall we used Infant Hercules opposite the Cleveland Centre.

If you're wanting to be near the station and like a good pint of ale, Isaac's is the only good option IMO, closer to the Town Hall, the Infant Hercules serves a great pint.

Also going to the gig. Meeting at The Chairman for a parmo and some nice ales before the gig. Baker Street and Bedford street. Infant Hercules all good for real ales.

Isaacs has the best selection of ale near the station. I quite like the Zetland, but it usually only has one ale on, & it can be variable. Baker Street has a few micro pubs that do ale, but it’s a treck from the station, as is the Chapel, which sells the best ale in town
Liqueur Vaults and Pig Iron are both Star Wars bars, no ale.
