The person who tweeted "I will always support local businesses and Teesside in general but if you’re going to slap ‘Labour’ on your product I’ll probably just buy a bottle of Bombay Sapphire next time."

I don't think he meant there's a bottle of Steel River Gin for sale with Labour 'slapped' on it.

He produced a specific bottle of gin with £10 of every sale going to the Labour Party.

I’ve sunk plenty of Newcastle brown ale.. not sure of the political implications of that. I don’t feel as if my drinking contributed to Newcastle’s.. complete lack of trophies during that period.
 
Well the owner definitely supports kier as I’ve been at the distillery at an event at which kier was present and did a speech

The bloke who tweeted it is the owner. Do a bit more reading (if that doesn’t stretch you too much) and you will establish that the last order he received from the airport was in November 2022 and since then his calls and emails have been ignored.

It could be that they haven't needed to order any more since Nov 22. And they aren't obliged to answer every email they receive from suppliers.

Yeah I think you've cracked it. Nothing at all to do with the owner being a supporter of the Labour Party then. My bad 👍

Maybe. Though I'm not sure why you think that is such an outlandish possibility.

Or maybe you're right and they have actually decided not to buy from him purely because he is a Labour supporter.

Maybe they were just about to place another 6 month order but he has just blown it.

We dont know for sure.
My point is there a lot of assumptions on that twitter conversation.

What a bit like someone assuming that Steel River Gin could not be sold in the Stadium of Light when they specifically sell a "Black Cats Gin"? Or is that different?
