Big Day For Scarborough A.F.C.

They made hard work of it, didn't play as well as Tuesday but they got there! Maloney is outstanding at this level. Big step up next season, quite a few full time teams. If think if they can sign Whitley ( the keeper - on loan from York!) plus get an out and out goalscorer they'll be ok. The full backs and central midfield as good enough. Plenty of lads still singing in the valley when I left about 7! Roll on Saturday 😆
 
Excellent weekend for North Yorkshire football with both Marske and Scarborough winning their play off games, York guaranteeing themselves a play off spot in National League North, and of course Middlesbrough winning to give themselves a chance of reaching the play offs with a win against Stoke, well done to all involved and long may it continue.

Maloney has been excellent for Scarborough this season, he's the player that makes them tick with his work rate, range of passing and ball retention plus he's notched a few spectacular goals along the way, was at Marske last season, when to be honest things didn't really click for him, but he's shown this season that he's more than capable of performing at a higher level.

Maloney was quality too when he was at Marske before the Scarborough move. I imagine it won't be long until he's playing professionally. Granted doesn't play the same position as Hugill but he's a far superior player and younger.
