I like that he's kinda 'old school'. Just a proper no nonsense CB. He's a good defender. These days the defensive part seems as though it isn't as important.
I think you need a player like him in the champo. A big 'unit' who can defend. I am probably doing him a bit of an injustice. He's no dud on the ball.
We are maybe now seeing the best of him. It's hardly surprising after over a year out. He's actually been thrown back in due to injuries. I doubt it's ideal starting every week after nearly 18 months out.
I think he's entering his final year? So with Paddy leaving you'd say he's worth a contract chat.
Just remember he won the player of the season at his last 3 club's prior to joining us. That's actually a pretty amazing stat

Look at the teams weve played during this good defensive run of clean sheets brum qpr sheff wed Swansea. The biggest reason for the clean sheets is playing against shîte opposition. If we get good results at hull Ipswich and leeds then i, will say fair play.

Always knew he would come good, if we can keep hold of VDB then deffo first choice CB partnership next season.....either side of them is up for discussion..... but Ayling on a free? No brainer IMO.

You’re right they were both pretty poor, but Clarkes individual performances have been consistently high for weeks now, Southampton, Norwich, Leicester to name few.
