Biggest flop - Carlos de Pena or Martin Payero??

Which South American was the biggest flop? I'd go with Payero but only because his photography skills were not up to that of de Pena!

To be fair to De Pena, he left us to have quite a decent career. Maybe we are just too quick to write these players off?

Payero was never given a full opportunity. Partly due to himself and partly due to management.

So on that basis I'm going with De Pena.

It's definitely De Peña who's the biggest flop of the two, but we wasted slightly more money on Payero (assuming we don't get any back).

He has been a flop at Middlesbrough, that's indisputable, I'm not sure why you get so worked up about him all the time?

He might go on to have a very successful career, but he was a flop here.

I think Boro should have stuck with Payero such a shame I think he would have adapted to become a brilliant player .Some players take time from South American countries u don't give up on them after just one year.

That's not Middlesbrough, so it has absolutely no relevance on whether he was a flop here or not?

It also has no bearing on whether Payero is a success at Boca Juniors either.
