Billionaires

I was reading Taylor Swift is now a billionaire. She certainly didn't get that way from Spotify royalties.

I also note that #1 billionaire rich person Bernard Arnault (in reality it's Putin but nobody mentions that) reminds me of Mr Burns:

Could you dumb it down a notch for me? In reality is Putin?

Sometimes these published figures for musicians are way off the mark if they simply multiply tickets sold by average cost because she doesn't get every cent and penny from ticket sales. Trucks, drivers, air freight and dancers don't work with a musician as a charitable donation.

Taylor Swift is well known to be extremely generous to her tour staff. For example each truck driver for the Eras tour got a handwritten note and a bonus of $100,000 on top of their salary.

I’d imagine one reason she has the same dancers, backing singers and band as 10 years ago is because she knows how to treat people.

Top one is a trillion.

Bottom one is a billion.
I always thought top one was the British definition and the second was the American definition.

Edit: seems so…..

“Historically, however, in the UK the term billion meant 1 million million – 1,000,000,000,000 - but in the United States the term was used to refer to 1 thousand million.”

I think the British are / were correct personally

I think a billion is a thousand million everywhere.
