Bilsdale Mast

I worked on the Sutton Coldfield mast near Birmingham, think it was 900m high when completed, they use what is called a 'Derrick' which slides up the outside of the mast with a winch bond then locked off then new section winched into place then so on, good job to be involved in
Passed Bilsdale Mast this afty and the construction of the new lattice mast has reached the first guy stay level and is about level with the temporary mast which is about 80 metres high. The lattice work seems to be in circa 20ft prefabricated sections. Unfortunately nobody was getting any 'cheeky overtime' in so I've no idea what the construction technique is. Given that the final mast height is 300 metres it's just over a 1/4 of its full height.
